Website consists of webpages linked together to form a website. A webpage is a document written in plain text interspersed with formatting instructions of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML, XHTML). These webpages are then displayed in a web browser with the correct formatting and content.

Once a website is created it is published (uploaded) to a computer called web server also known as web hosting. The web server is connected to the internet for anyone to access. Whereas the internet is a global system of computer networks linked together by networking technologies.
